TERMS & CONDITIONS
We know it’s boring but please take your time to read our Terms and Conditions. They are important and form the contract between you and us. When you sign your Booking Form you agree to what is written below:
ARRIVAL & DEPARTURE
Arrival day is Saturday unless previously arranged. Arrival time from 5.00pm*, vacation/departure time 09.30am.
BOOKING & PAYMENT
On receipt of your reservation request we will send you a booking form. We will hold the property for 7 days until we receive the deposit and a completed booking form. We will then confirm your booking by return post or e-mail. The date when the remaining balance is due will be stated on the confirmation letter/e-mail.
A non-refundable deposit of 25% of the total amount due or £100 (whichever is the larger), will be required at time of booking. The balance is due 6 weeks before arrival. Payment is accepted in Pounds Sterling or Euros by bank transfer or cheque. Cheques should be made payable to Samantha Watson. Bank details can be provided upon request. Reservations made within 6 weeks of the arrival date require full payment at the time of booking. If payment is not received by the due date, we reserve the right to give notice that the reservation is cancelled and the deposit will be retained by the owner.
If a cancellation is requested within the 6 weeks prior to the letting period the owner will retain the booking deposit and also reserves the right to retain the balance of the rental payment, should it not be possible to re-let the property. We will always endeavour to re-let the property. Any bank charges are the responsibility of the guests. For cancellations prior to payment of the full balance the deposit will not be returned.
We strongly recommend that guests arrange a comprehensive travel insurance policy (including cancellation cover). This should include full cover for the party’s personal belongings, public liability etc, since these are not covered by the owner’s insurance.
NUMBER OF GUESTS
The maximum number to reside in the property must not exceed the number stated when booking unless otherwise agreed in advance in writing.
No pets are allowed on the premises.
WiFi is provided at no extra cost but you are bound by the terms and conditions of our internet provider – see www.plus.net/info2/legal/aup.html. Strictly no downloading of illegal/unlawful material.
The accommodation is strictly non-smoking – any guests failing to comply with this request will be asked to leave and no refund will be given.
Guests agree to be considerate of others and to take good care of the property, to leave it in a clean and tidy condition at the end of their stay. We reserve the right to charge for the disposal of any rubbish or waste that may be left in the property.
Guests are kindly requested not to disturb neighbouring properties by loud noise or music. Parents are responsible for the safety of their children at all times during their stay. N.B Young children must be supervised in the garden due to the steepness of the garden landscape and seclusion of some areas of the garden.
DEFECTS & DAMAGE
We ask guests to report any defects in the property, or appliances in the properties or garden without delay. Arrangements for repair and or replacements will be made as soon as possible. Articles damaged or broken during your stay should be replaced on a like-for-like basis if possible. Please notify us or our caretakers of any damage or breakages however small so that we are aware and can replace them in time for the next guests.
The owner shall not be liable to the client for any temporary defect or stoppage in the supply of public services (i.e. electric or water supply),to the property, or appliances in the property or garden, for any loss, damage or injury which is the result of adverse weather conditions, riot, war, strikes or any other matters beyond the control of the owner. Nor for any loss, damage or inconvenience caused to or suffered by the client, if the property shall be destroyed or substantially damaged before the start of the booking, and in any such event, the owner shall within seven days of notification to the client, refund to the client all sums paid previously in respect of the booking. Under no circumstance shall the owner’s liability to the guests exceed the amount paid to the owner for the booking.
ACCIDENT & INJURY
The owner shall not be liable for accident or injury, however sustained on the premises or gardens by the guests or by members of their party and the owner shall not be liable for loss or damage to guest’s property during the stay.
WHAT IS INCLUDED?
All bed linen is included in the cost of the rental; this includes a sheet, duvet, duvet cover, pillows and pillow cases for each bed.
Bath towels, hand towels and face cloths/flannels are NO LONGER included in the cost of the rental. PLEASE RING YOUR OWN BATH TOWELS. If you wish to discuss the provision of towels, please contact Sam Watson prior to your stay.
A cot and high chair are available, please request these at the time of booking. N.B. Cot bedding is NOT provided.
Anti-viral cleaning materials are provided.
All heating/cooking fuel and electricity is included in the cost of the rental.
The Games Room comprises of full-size pool table, dartboard, full-size table football, children’s air hockey, children’s table tennis, children’s table football and children’s pool table.
Please ensure that all children are supervised at all times. Parents are responsible for the safety of their children at all times during their stay. Please keep darts out of children’s reach.
