Criccieth Festival and Food Slam…

Every year Criccieth has a week-long festival which is a celebration of local live music and arts. This year the festival starts on Saturday 17 June until Sunday 25 June and as it is the festival’s 30th year Sir Bryn Terfel will kick-start the week with a gala concert.

During the week there are several events including harpists, baroque music, pianists, jazz, a Beethoven Bonanza, flower festival, African music and a garden trail – all dotted around this pretty coastal town which is between Pwllheli and Porthmadog. At the end of the week, on the Saturday there will be a Food Slam – a food festival along the esplanade from 1pm until 10.30pm. There will be street food, beer, wine, live music as well as arts and crafts. Then there will be a fireworks display from the Castle at 10.30pm.

Phew! What a week!
